NGO Mission:  Uniting the Next Generation of Omaha at the Forefront of Change.

We are a group of people who are interested in the future of Omaha. We live here, we love Omaha, and we want to play a role in making our community better.

NGO is a collection of free-thinkers who believe in the power of bringing people together to talk about possibilities, then going into the community to either create or support those who are making those possibilities a reality. We understand that life in Nebraska can be great and challenging at the same time. And we want to talk about it.

We believe that the free-thinkers and scrutinizers have been too quiet for too long. We are the people who challenge the community to never be comfortable being good enough, but to continue our path towards being great. To this end, we want you to speak out and get involved in your community. Being involved may not be volunteering, but simply supporting the things that make Omaha a cool place to be: poetry slams, concerts at Sokol, walks through the park, whatever. Just get out there. This is who we are.

If the concept of free-thinking and scrutinizing makes you uncomfortable or if you’d rather sit on your couch than get involved, this isn’t your site. There are plenty of other sites out there for you. NGO is for people with something to say. NGO is about people who want to do something. Get engaged. Use your voice. We hope that you enjoy.
